A dog is historically one of the best human pet. It is the most domesticated animal and plays several roles including just being a nice pet to show off, being a security provider or also used for hunting purpose.
These nice traits of a dog can however turn around and you would hate the animal when it begins to show aggressive dog behavior. For most dog keepers, this often comes as a surprise. It is partly because most people have never known that what is aggressive dog behavior?
They can be defined as those bad behaviors of a dog. They include dog fights which may be between a dog and another r a dog against a human being. This is a way in which the dog makes known its emotions or a sense of not being happy. It could also mean that the dog is sick either in a limb or the brain. You have to be careful about a fighting dog because it may be suffering from rabies.
Other aggressive behaviors include barking unnecessarily or chasing after anything that is running around including children. Dogs will also perfume such aggressive behaviors when demanding more space or showing that they are possessive of certain things. The aggressive dog behavior can be classified as follows.
Dominate aggressive behavior: These are usually lethal aggressive behavior. They only listens to one person in a family and may even maul a child in the presence of dog owner. It is not necessarily a problem of the dog; rather, it is a problem of the owner. It takes an early training from the puppy stage to learn to control such aggression. You also need to protect the dog's space and train it to know when the space is threatened and when it is not.
Fear aggressive behavior: This simply means what the phrase is, a reaction of a scared dog. This is very dangerous because such will not be able to take instructions from the owner. There is always an underlying cause of the aggression and therefore to correct the problem, you need to identify the initial factor that scared the dogs.
Territorial aggressive: Will define its territory right from the pen to the entire home. If not under chain, such a dog would end up barking and lunging when any one approaches its territory. It may even bite anyone who approaches the territory.
Possessive aggressive: This is always amazing, that a dog can actually identify itself with particular things. You would expect this from humans. Yet this is a common cause for aggressive dog behavior. You better be sure of giving the dog certain things that will belong to it. These include toys or foods or books. The children should be trained not to try and share the toys.
Punishment aggressive: If you keep punishing your dog excessively or dominantly, they will turn out to have an aggressive dog behavior. Once beaten twice shy, this applies to dogs that have been inflicted upon some severe pain. Other forms of aggression include predatory aggressive behavior, maternal aggressive and redirected aggressive behavior.
